What is llms.txt?
A plain-text Markdown file at /llms.txt that gives AI assistants a short summary of a website and links to its key pages. It was proposed at llmstxt.org. Minimal example:

Will llms.txt improve my rankings or get me cited by ChatGPT?
No one can promise that. llms.txt is an emerging, optional convention. Some AI tools read it and many don't yet. It's a small, cheap improvement, not a ranking factor.
What does the checker validate?
It checks for an H1 title on the first line, a ">" summary, at least one "##" section, Markdown link lists, absolute https links, and a reasonable file size. These follow the structure described at llmstxt.org.
Is llms.txt the same as robots.txt?
No. robots.txt tells crawlers what they may access. llms.txt is a curated summary that helps AI tools understand your site. You can have both.
